We are seeing an increase in customers asking for finger and hand tattoos, now they may look awesome on pintrest* (*insert any other social media platform) and granted they will look amazing just after they have been done but here is the kicker...they fade...and fade fast. For some lucky people they will stay looking fresh but for the majority they will need re-touching pretty quickly and regularly (at whatever price you paid to have it done in the first place....) to keep them looking clean & vibrant.
Much like knees and elbows the skin on your hands & fingers regenerates so quickly that the ink drops out, distorts and generally looks worn pretty quickly. Think about how much work your hands do on a day to day basis...now read the aftercare advice we give you (scroll down you'll find it) ...how are you going to follow it and give your new ink the best chance when its healing? Lets be honest you probably aren't going to be able to between washing up, washing your hands, digging in your pocket for your phone/keys/money ....you get the drift, your hands work hard!!
Our artists wont do finger/hand tattoos on customers who don't already have tattoos, ideally you'll already have a good coverage before you start looking at the hands as a place for your art...this isn't about us being difficult but making sure you know what you are letting yourself in for, visible tattoos can impact your life in ways you may not have considered yet...
BUT I REALLY WANT IT.....Ok, have you read what I just wrote?? You still want one.....give us a shout and get booked in for a consultation....and when you come in for your consultation we will go through this all again.....and then if the artist is happy to do the work we will get you booked in....WHAT! WAIT! YOU MAY SAY NO? Yep, that is right...whilst we respect your choice to decorate your body any way you want we wont take on every piece of work that we get asked to do....... but that's a whole other blog.
